Phillip Matarrese was born on August 16th, 1984 in Berkeley, California. He grew up in Oakland and moved to Alameda, picking up the drums in sophmore year of highschool. He and his twin brother Joe have been playing in the same band together ever since. His influences include Lars Ulrich, Tre Cool, Elvin Jones, Jeremy Taggart and Adam Carson. He is a big fan of bands such as Metallica, Our Lady Peace, AFI, Rage Against The Machine, The Counting Crows, and Hangman.
